Tickets!!!

We wanted everyone to know that we just bought our tickets and it is very exciting to finally have a firm date! We will be flying out of Charlotte to New York on Monday, February 16th. We plan to stay at our mission headquarters in Pearl River, NY for a few nights where we will also have a chance to visit with and say goodbye to my parents. On Wednesday, February 18th our flight leaves NY in the evening for the first leg to London. After a several hour layover on the 19th we will have a day flight for the last leg to Nairobi. Thanks again for your prayers and to all of you who made this possible!

We still have not heard anything from immigration and at this point it's just a matter of curiosity as to when this process will ever end. With that said, we feel more confident than ever in the decision that we have made to move on.

Once again, here is a link to a new AIM AIR video that I would recommend to everyone. You will need Quicktime installed on your computer to view it. Enjoy!

Moving right along!

Happy new year to all!
First off, thanks so much to all of you who have been praying for us and who have given to us financially. We have been so encouraged in the last few weeks! We are excited to say that our support is very close now and we are planning to move forward with the purchase of tickets for sometime in February! Unfortunately I have still not recieved my final approval letter from immigration. At this point we feel like the Lord is opening the door for us to return to Nairobi before the baby is born, even if it means that I will have to come back at a later date for the final "oath ceremony". This will allow us to get the family settled in without having to wait four more months until after the baby comes.
We still do need more monthly pledges towards financial support so please keep praying for that. We are excited to have agreed to purchase a very well maintained vehicle from a fellow missionary family in Nairobi. It will be such a blessing to have a reliable vehicle waiting for us upon our return. The cost of this vehicle is a little higher than what we had originally planned for so we are still trying to raise the remainder of those funds as well.
Thanks again and we look forward to updating you with more specific travel plans soon.

Blessings,
Reini
