The Schmidts

Reini and Abbie Schmidt are missionaries with AIM Air in Kenya.

Reini is a pilot / mechanic for AIM AIR. AIM AIR provides safe and reliable transportation for missionaries that are serving all over East Africa. Without the airplane, it would not be possible for many of these missionaries to serve in their various locations. Many times there are no roads. Even if there are roads, it is often to dangerous to travel them because of bandits. Most of these roads are also very "unimproved" and it takes the missionaries several days to travel to their places of ministry and then several more days to recover from the trip. One day driving in many of these places is equivalent to one hour of flying.

Abbie, stays very busy with taking care of the children and keeping up with the house in a much more difficult environment. Even though we have many of the conveniences in Nairobi which we are used to, there are also a lot of differences when it comes to food preparation and cleaning. All of our water must be filtered, and many times we are just happy to be getting water!

We definitely covet your prayers and we also really enjoy hearing from you. Thanks for your interest and involvement in our ministry.
